I started learning carpentry and home repair at an early age from my father, a small millwork shop owner and experienced carpenter. He taught me the importance of creating a quality finished result through attention to detail and care. Carpentry has always been a passion of mine, and I really enjoy working on projects with custom carpentry scopes.

The company name Arete has somewhat of a double meaning. In climbing, an Arete is a narrow ridge of a mountain or mountain face, often leading to or encompassing the highest point. 

In Greek philosophy, Arete's meaning is excellence or living up to one's full potential. 

 

I named the company Arete to express my own pursuit of excellence and high quality results on all of my projects.
